You must hold a Forklift operator Certificate (US 10851) if you want to operate a forklift eg: in a warehouse, factory unit or closed of yard from the public, if you need to drive a forklift where the public have access to, whether as of right or not you will need a F Endorsement as well (US 18496)
This course covers both Unit Standards & complies with work safe: NZ Health & Safety (OSH) & NZTA requirements for the work place.

You must have
- A current Full NZ Class One (car licence)
- Good understanding of English to be able to do the written theory component (If not please inform our office to see if we can assist)
Forklift Operator Cert & F Endorsement includes
- Unit Standard 10851: Operate a powered industrial Fork Lift with Forks (in a closed off from the public area Eg: Factory Unit or Fenced work yard)
- Unit Standard 18496: Demonstrate Knowledge & skills for driving a forklift on the road for F. Endorsement
- The course will cover these topics:
- Pre-Vehicle safety checks
- Stacking & destacking
- Safe operation of the forklift & equipment
- Re-fueling
- Parking & storage

On satisfactory completion of the course, you will be issued a Forklift Competency Certificate & ID /card as well as a NZTA course certificate which you must take to the AA or VTNZ, to upgrade your licence (AA or VTNZ fees for upgrade may apply)
PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT licenced to operate a forklift on the road until you have taken your certificate to AA or VTNZ to upgrade your licence.
